Children’s Presenter

• Melbourne based
• Part time position – School hours and half-day weekend work

Dinosaur Diggers provides children’s learning of Dinosaurs and fossils through the presentation of authentic exhibits in a fun and hands-on format.  Our presentations are performed at school and pre-school locations as well as private birthday party events.  We teach and entertain children in the 4 – 8 year age group.

We achieve learning objectives through the presentation of factual information and authentic exhibits in a humorous and activity based style.

Due to our growing reputation and demand we are looking for an additional part-time presenter to join our friendly team.

The role is currently 20 hours per week but there may be the opportunity to increase hours within the next three months.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead and present our 3 hour curriculum at our events.  This involves a structured presentation and the co-ordination of hands-on learning activities.

Full training will be given to the successful applicant and a phased introduction to the role will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to:

• be highly reliable, trustworthy and punctual
• show genuine interest and passion for working with children
• have the ability to lead and control groups of children aged 4 – 8 years

Education & Qualifications

• Current Police Record Check
• Genuine love of children
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full drivers licence
